What This Status Means

USCIS has scheduled your naturalization oath ceremony — the final step in becoming a U.S. citizen. A notice will be mailed with the date, time, and location. At the ceremony, you will take the Oath of Allegiance and receive your Certificate of Naturalization.

What You Should Do

  1. Attend the ceremony on the scheduled date and time
  2. Bring the oath ceremony notice (N-445) and your green card
  3. Complete the questionnaire on the back of the N-445 form
  4. After the ceremony, you will receive your Certificate of Naturalization
  5. You can apply for a U.S. passport immediately after the ceremony
  6. Register to vote if you wish — you are now eligible
